Welcome everyone to another NFL packed sunday. Today the Bear's on on the road playing against the Atlanta Falcons. The game today can go either way. Both teams are 3-2 and both teams have their pro's and con's.
The Bears defense is going to have to bring their A-game today and watch out for running back Michael Turner who leads the NFL in rush yards and touchdowns this season. If the Bears defense can put a stop to Turner then the Falcons will pull out the next weapon in their arsenal, receiver Roddy White. White has the third most receiving yards this season, he has also been doing very well the last couple of games catching twenty passes in the last three games. To answer that the Bears have cornerback, Charles Tillman who leads the NFL in forced turnovers this season.
If the defense holds up, then the Bears are going to have to keep up the good work that they have been doing on offense. Their QB Kyle Orton has really improved his overall game this season, with seven touchdowns and over 1000 passing yards. What the offense needs to be concerned about isn't Orton's performance, but how well the O-line can protect him against the NFL's leader in sacks Jon Ibrahim. The Bears are aware of this and because of that, they will probably turn to rookie Matt Forte for a couple of short passes.
Both teams have an equal shot, in my opinion to come out with a win. It will all some down to who performs better. Will the O-line protect Orton? Will Michael Turner be able to keep up his running game, or will the Bears defense be able to shut down the run game? Here is some interesting stats that I found, the Bears have beaten the Falcons in their last three encounters and 8 out of their last 9 meetings.
