This is a sad day for all Bear fans today. Earlier today the Chicago Bears faced off against the Atlanta Falcons, in what many Bears fans thought would be an easy win. Against a team that many thought, myself included, would lose. Don’t get me wrong the falcons are doing a good job this season, but statistically the Bears were the favored team. The Bears were favored in defense, in offense and special teams.
Throughout the majority of the game the Falcons were leading they were up 9 to 0 at one point. The Falcons runner Michael Turner had a hell of a game. The Bears defense really had a hard time putting a stop to his running game. It was an on and off game for the defense. They would do poorly and allow rookie Matt Ryan enough time to complete passes. However, when the game got closer to the goal line the defense would find some way to force the kicking team on the field.
The Bears had a couple of key plays, which they missed and those really hurt them. In the first half there were a couple of penalties that resulted because of stupid mistakes. But one play where the Falcons fumbled the ball on third and long, the Bears Tommy Harris picked it up, but lost it on his way up from the ground. That gave the Falcons a new set of downs and they ended up kicking a field goal on that play. Then later in the fourth the Bears were on the one yard line it was fourth and goal they decided to go for it, and Atlanta came up with a big stop and forced the bears to give the ball up.
The sad part came in the last few second of the game the Bears scored a TD with about eleven seconds left, then Falcons QB completed a pass to Michael Jenkins putting them in field goal range. The falcons brought their kicking team on the field and won the game.

I'm a huge Bears fan and this loss pissed me off the most of any loss this season. That was a horrible decision to squib it with 11 seconds left. Terrible coaching lost them this game.
