Boilers Wreck Wolverines

Wow!!! That's the best way to describe todays game against Michigan. This game was really intense and had everyone on the edge of their seats throughout most of the game. Both teams did really well in todays game and were neck in neck for a good amount of the game. However, Purdue never gave up, they played their best and in the end they came out with the win.

Todays game was a little bit different for Purdue fans and the players as well. For one they actually won a game and two the infamous Curtis Painter wasn't in the game. Instead they had Sophomore Justin Siller starting, because Painter injured his shoulder in last weeks game. Now what I'm about to say don't take it the wrong way, but in my opinion Painter's injury was a blessing in disguise. Now I'm not saying that I'm glad that he got hurt, but I am thankful that his injury resulted in Justin Siller getting the chance to play in todays game.

Siller played an amazing game today. Siller had three touchdown passes and he ran for another one in his first career start as a QB. Siller for his first start as a QB did exceptionally well. In my opinion he should remain as the starting QB, he really showed that he has what it takes to lead this team.

Siller really showed his ability to lead the team in the last minute and half  of the game. The Wolverines had just tied the game and their was about a minute and twenty seconds left, Siller completed an 18 yard pass to Keith Smith and then another 20 yard pass to Tardy. After a couple of plays the Boilermakers ended up on the Wolverines 35, and then they pulled of one of the most amazing plays that I have seen in a while. Siller passed the ball to Orton, who then instantly lateralled it to Tardy, Tardy then ran it to the end zone for a TD. The extra point was missed, but that really didn't matter, because the defense held Michigan for that last twenty seconds and won the game.

I really enjoyed todays game, it was exciting from the opening kick off to the very last second, and I think that much of that excitement had to do with Siller. He brings that style to the team and he is really interesting to watch. I look forward to seeing him in the next's weeks game.

I don't know all the players on the football team so I was a little surprised when Siller was playing yesterday. I have to agree with you, Im kind of glad Painter was hurt and Siller got the chance to play.

I love that you guys post about all the Purdue football games because I know that I can always come here and see if we won and see what happened during the game. I also think it was really great that Siller got to play...it obviously shows how good he is because we finally won again!

Finally!!! The Boilermakers are learning that the times are different and that there is a need for some new changes and new faces. I thought Siller played very well on Saturday. He seemed to be fairly comfortable out there in front of so many people. I am glad that Purdue is back on track.
