Texas Tech Upsets Texas in Last Seconds of the game.

Last night was a night of complete shock for many Texas Longhorns fans. They watched their number one rated team lose in what many feel, myself included, was one of the most intense games of college football anyone has ever seen. Both teams played an amazing game of football, however as the phrase goes it's not over until it's over and that is exactly how both teams played they busted their asses off till the very end.

First let me start by talking about the Longhorns Offense, they played a great game. QB Colt McCoy did a great job at quarter back this game, he performed very well completing 20 of 34 passes, he threw for 294 yards and had two touchdown passes. McCoy lead his team to what was almost a come from behind victory. In the first half the McCoy and his Longhorn teamed were looking like they were going to just let one of the biggest games of the season slip away. The Longhorns were down 19-0 at one point in the first half. Then in the second half the offense stepped it up and McCoy threw a 37 yard and a 91 yard TD pass, both to Malcolm Wlliams. McCoy has nothing to beat himself up about he played a good game.

On the other side McCoy didn't play as well as the Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell. Harrell played an amazing game last night, he had completed 36 of 53 passes, along with 494 passing yards and two touchdown passes. He played his heart out the whole game and it really payed off, throughout almost the whole game the Texas Tech red raiders were in the lead, they had made a lot of great plays the entire game. However, the biggest and most important play that Harrell and his team played was in the very last seconds of the game. There was 8 seconds left on the clock and the Red Raiders were down 33-32. QB Graham Harrell threw an extremely risky pass to All-American Michael Crabtree, who was covered by two Longhorns defenders. Crabtree caught the ball, managed to shake off the defenders and ran it into the end zone with 1 second left. It was truly one of the most amazing catches I have ever seen. The Red Raiders did what many people thought was impossible, they beat the number one team in the country and they did it in the most amazing way.

This was definetly the best game of the year so far in college football. I just stared at the tv in amazment after Texas Tech scored that touchdown. I just remember thinking why doesn't he just get out of bounds after he caught it so they can kick a field goal, but then somehow he broke free and scored a touchdown.
