The Saints are 4-5 this season, they aren't out of the playoff picture yet however if they don't start winning some games especially away games they can kiss the idea of a postseason goodbye. Brees has been doing good statistically, for example he leads the NFL'S top ranked offense which is averaging about 422.22 yards per game. Brees is on pace to set a record by throwing for 5,309 yards, the only problem is that the team is struggling on the road. In the past four road games quarter back Drew Brees has thrown for 1,209 yards, four touchdowns and six interceptions, now compare that to his 1,695 yards, 13 touchdowns and only four interceptions in his last five home games. When asked how he feels about the team's struggles this year on the road this is what he had to say "The fact that we haven't been able to put two good consistent games together in a row is frustrating." Drew Brees has been doing his best to try and carry the team offensively, because their star running back Reggie Bush is out with a knee injury.
This upcoming week the Saints look to improve their record to .500 when they face the Kansas City Chiefs. If the Saints win this week not only will they have improved their record, but it will also be New Orleans first win on the road this year. In my opinion a win on the road is exactly what the Saints need, the team needs a confidence boost while they are on the road and hopefully they can get that little bit of motivation that they need this weekend.
