So I was walking to the Purdue vs. Oregon State game yesterday and read someone’s shirt, and it said “I wake up earlier for Purdue football games than I do for class”. That got me thinking about it, so I looked around at all the people around me, and it seemed like it was true. Most students just wake up and put sweat pants on or even go to class in the clothes they slept in. But all the students around were all decked out in Purdue attire, hooting and hollering chants for the Boilermakers. So in all honesty, that t-shirt was true. I never get up and get ready for class. I am one of those students who just wake up and throw the first clothes they see on your body and run out the door. But for the football games, I make sure I give myself enough time to get all decked out for the tailgate parties, and then the game. That t-shirt explains it for most of the students here at Purdue. Football games are the high light of the week. Too bad students are not as enthusiastic to go to class like they are to attend the football games.

I definitely agree with you on this one. I never really thought about it but you are right. I feel I cant just roll out of bed to go to the game unlike class....guess the games bring out a different side of everyone.
Hahaha... I totally agree. I'll see students that are supposed to be in my class at the games, more than I see them in class. It just cracks me up that the students that barely make the grade, usually are the ones with the most school pride. They just don’t seem to have any balance between their classes and their social life. I know there are days that I definitely don’t care what I look like, I am just trying to make it to class on time. Being that we are college students, it is somewhat expected from us… But it’s not much of an excuse. We should have some sort of balance between the two. Otherwise we won’t be allowed in the student section for much longer.
