er matchup. OSU is coming off a week where they barely squeaked by Ohio while the Trojans are coming in with two weeks of dominating performances. One of the bigger stories surrounding this game is the status of OSU Junior running back Chris “Beanie” Wells. Wells, a Heisman candidate, injured his foot in the opener against Youngstown St. and sat out last week’s game. He is listed as doubtful to play on Saturday and if he doesn’t than it is also doubtful that Ohio State will put up much of a fight. OSU only racked up 273 yards of offense last week without Beanie and if that stat continues this week, this game will be over at halftime. However, if the Buckeyes do have Wells they may be able to control the clock and keep the explosive USC offense off the field. Personally, I think Wells will play and this whole injury thing is OSU coach Jim Tressel just trying to keep the Trojans guessing. Even with Wells in the lineup I think USC is still too much for the Buckeyes and the Buckeyes lose once again on the national stage 38-22.
